Abstract Telemedicine includes the use of information and communication technology for education in the health sector, teleeducation. Teleeducation can be defined as “education in which students receive instruction over the Internet, from a video, etc., instead of going to school.” Also known as Elearning, it comprises all forms of electronically supported learning and teaching. Content is delivered via the Internet, intranet/extranet, audio or video tape, satellite TV, and CDROM. It can be selfpaced or instructorled and includes media in the form of text, image, animation, streaming video and audio. Teleeducation has the potential to provide access to education both formal and continuing medical education. We present our experience of tele education in a tertiary healthcare.
